Nature...Not grandiose but full of grandeur. Not complicated, but perfectly complex.
Whether you're a city dweller, from the "burbs", live off the grid, or somewhere in between, nature is always present. Sometimes you just have to slow down enough to really see it and be present with it. Once I did it changed my life.
The best things in life aren't things at all, but the ones that are can be found in nature. Seems simple enough, but how many of us really take the time to appreciate nature. Most of us are too busy in the every day issues of "life" to really appreciate what is always around us every day.
How often do we take the time to appreciate and enjoy the birds? How often do we marvel at the simple yet intricate parts of a flower? How many of us take the time to preserve a piece of nature rather than exploit it for monetary gain?
I recently saw a news story that said doctors are now prescribing nature to cure certain ailments. Things such as stress, anxiety, depression, and other things can be calmed by spending time outside.
It's kind of sad that we don't take the time to go outside unless doctors tell us to (sorry, had to get that off my chest).
This site isn't a scientific explanation of plants and animals. I'll leave that up to the scientists who do a fine job of that. This site is about ways to incorporate nature into your life. Ways that will not only benefit the natural world around you but also help you to perhaps find your true essence.
We are all part of nature whether we
realize it or not. Being part of it isn't an event reserved only for a
nice day on the weekend or a summer vacation.
